Brendan Gallagher

Brendan is the founder and CEO of Lima Capital LLC. Before establishing Lima in 2018, Brendan served as the acting COO and Head of Operations and Product Development at Sanlam Global Investment Solutions, a subsidiary of Sanlam Limited.

Earlier in his career, Brendan acted as an independent consultant, setting up various international life, pension, advisory, and distribution businesses, and primarily focused on African, Middle Eastern, and the wider European market. Before his consultancy work, Brendan was the COO of the offshore arm of Sanlam Group, and prior to this was a Partner at Armstrong Investment Managers LLP, focusing on business development across Europe and Asia. He also worked as a European business development associate at Insight Investment in the UK, targeting institutional sales in the Nordics and Italy.

Brendan began his career in the UK in 2002 at Fidelity Investments and the Bank of New York Mellon. He holds a B. Comm degree in Corporate Finance and Economics from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK.

Prior to this, Lee worked as a Director at Conifer Capital and as the Head of Business Operations at Ascot Life. Before moving to Mauritius, Lee worked as a consultant and software developer at M&P Business Solutions GmbH and M&P Gruppe in Austria.

Throughout her career, Diana has successfully managed legal teams, implemented ethical standards, mitigated legal risks, and spearheaded high-value projects in Asia-Pacific. She has been recognised as one of the most influential and innovative in-house counsels working in South-East Asia through Legal 500’s GC Powerlist Southeast Asia 2017 within the Commercial and Professional Services sector and again for the second time in 2019, within the Financials sector.

Diana specializes in funds, financial services, family offices, and fintech, with expertise in various asset classes and sectors such as private equity, hedge funds, insurance, investment consulting, and wealth management. She started her legal career in private practice before transitioning to in-house roles, and later returned to private practice where her areas of expertise are in funds, financial services, family offices and fintechs. As the legal advisor to Lima Capital, her expertise and guidance have been invaluable in supporting Lima’s operations and growth.

He was instrumental in bringing the first stablecoin-focused mutual fund to market and has developed supporting infrastructures for the tokenisation of real world assets and has helped to expand Lima Capital’s innovative offerings. Prior to co-founding Bakari AG, Ciaran held quantitative finance roles at AXA and data science roles at Mastercard. Bashir reckons over 20 years career in the Mauritius Global Business Industry working principally for the two leading management companies in Mauritius. He has an enriched exposure in business development, fund & company set up and structuring, administration, company secretarial, accounting, and net asset value computation, international tax planning, compliance among others. He has also directorship in client entities, namely global business companies, investment managers/advisers, closed-end funds, and collective investment schemes. Bashir has participated in various international conferences, workshops, and seminars on corporate structuring and tax planning, corporate governance, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing amongst others. He also currently acts as independent director on global business entities providing financial and non-financial services.
